DOA stands for Deutsch Ostafrika (English: German East Africa), a German colony established in 1891 and disbanded in 1919.  Its territory is now part of Burundi, Rwanda and Tanzania

Rhodesia was an unrecognised state in southern Africa from 1965 to 1979, equivalent in territorial terms to modern Zimbabwe

British East Africa occupied the area which is present day Kenya from the 1880s until 1920

Netherlands East-Indies was a Dutch colony consisting of what is now the Republic of Indonesia
